How do you reach your consumer?

Marketing and advertising, an essential component to any company’s success, and how it is utilized relies heavily upon technology these days.  According to Seth Godin, the world has doubled the data it pushes to consumers every 18 months for the last decade.  The type of technology and how much of it that is used depends upon the market that is being sought after. From the baby boomers to generation X, Y, and Z technology is exposed to them to rely a message from a company or organization.  How that message is translated depends on the specific generation that company is targeting.  Most marketers know the baby boom generation is far from the MTV generation and a texting campaign will most like miss their primary audience. With generation Y and Z, they have been overly exposed to media since birth, so it takes more than a banner ad or pop up to even initiate a glance in your direction.  It’s important to know your customer and the type of technology they are most familiar with to most effectively reach your audience.
