Don’t be Sorry

Why start an email, post, memo or letter with an apology. “Sorry to bother you all with more junk mail…but here it is anyways.” If you know what you are sending is not of importance to your readers, why send it at all? Don’t do something just for the sake of doing it. Make it worthwhile to someone. Think, re-read, edit, all the things instilled in us at a young age, follow through with them when it comes to your customers or employees. Sending out a message that is tailored to a specific client or employee will result in better comprehension and feedback. Doing what is convenient here, doesn’t mean it is necessarily best.
